Brief historical reference
Preparation of lawyers at the Precarpathian National University named after Vasyl Stefanyk was started in 1992. By order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine of June 20, 2002, N. 365, by the reorganization, a Law Institute was created consisting of the Faculty of Law and the Law College.
In July 2000, by decision of the State Accreditation Commission of Ukraine, the Faculty of Law of the University was accredited at the III educational qualification level, and in June 2003 – at the IV level. At the same time, the magistracy with a licensed volume of 25 persons of daily form of study and 25 persons of external form of education is open. In 2013, the licensed volume of preparation for the Master’s Degree has been increased to 50 persons of daily form and 25 persons of external form of education.
In the 2019 academic year, the Educational and Scientific Law Institute of the State Pedagogical University “Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University” commences the preparation of students for the new educational program “INTERNATIONAL AND EUROPEAN LAW” on the academic level “Bachelor” within the specialty 081 “Law” in the number of 60 people.
Within the framework of the given educational program, a part of professional educational disciplines will be taught in English.
Upon admission to study, applicants submit the following certificates of External independent evaluation:

The bachelor’s degree in law graduate of the Educational and Scientific Law Institute allows for employment in all spheres of jurisprudence and gives an opportunity to continue the education on an educational degree by the Master in the following Master’s programs:
-corporate law;
-private law;
-ecological law and law of natural resources;
-criminal legal protection of public relations;
-public service.
